A researcher from Turkey in the National Archives of Armenia

A few months ago, director of NAA A. Virabyan announced that Armenian archives are open to all, including also for researchers from Turkey. Candan Badem, doctor of historical sciences, lecturer at the university - Turkish descent, was the first researcher, who arrived in Yerevan to write a scientific monograph. Fourth Lazarevski reading in Moscow

From 6th to 9th June, 2009 in Moscow, RF, by the initiative of the Armenian cultural and educational association "Ararat", the fourth Lazarevski reading on Armenians living in Russia was held. NAA director A. Virabyan’s interview concerning the 94th Memorial Day of the Armenian Genocide

On April 21. 2009, NAA director A. Virabyan was the guest of national press club. The reason for meeting with representatives of mass media was the 94th Memorial Day of the Armenian Genocide. NAA director replied to journalists’ questions about documents concerning genocide, which are maintained in the NAA. 12 000 documents are present in the archive. more>>
